Bookmarks & Favorites

This guide explains how to use the Favorites system to save, organize, and quickly access your best thumbnail generations.

What Are Favorites?

Favorites let you bookmark your best thumbnail generations for quick access later. Instead of scrolling through all your generations, you can mark the ones you love and find them instantly in a dedicated section.
Think of favorites as your personal "best of" collection—the thumbnails you're most proud of or plan to use soon.

Adding Thumbnails to Favorites

From the Thumbnail Grid

The easiest way to favorite a thumbnail is directly from your generations list:
1

Navigate to Your Thumbnails

Go to your Thumbnails page from the sidebar.
2

Hover Over a Thumbnail

Move your mouse over the thumbnail you want to save.
3

Click the Star Icon

Click the star icon that appears on hover. The star turns yellow when favorited.
That's it! The thumbnail is now saved to your favorites. No confirmation needed—it's instant.

Visual Feedback

When you favorite a thumbnail:
  • Star turns yellow: Indicates the thumbnail is now favorited
  • Stays in place: The thumbnail remains in your grid—it's not moved anywhere
  • Instant sync: Favorites are saved immediately—no need to click "Save"

Removing Thumbnails from Favorites

From the Thumbnail Grid

To unfavorite from your main thumbnails list:
  1. Hover over the favorited thumbnail (look for the yellow star badge)
  2. Click the star icon again
  3. The star returns to its default state—thumbnail is removed from favorites

From the Favorites Page

You can also remove favorites directly from the Favorites page:
  1. Go to Favorites from the sidebar
  2. Hover over the thumbnail you want to remove
  3. Click the yellow star button
  4. The thumbnail disappears from the favorites list
Removing a thumbnail from favorites doesn't delete it—it only removes the bookmark. Your thumbnail remains in your regular thumbnails list.

Via the Sidebar

The fastest way to access your favorites:
  1. Look for the Favorites link in your sidebar (marked with a star icon)
  2. Click it to see all your favorited thumbnails in one place

  • Quick actions: View, edit, download, or unfavorite with one click
  • Creation date: See when each thumbnail was generated
  • Project name: Easily identify which project each thumbnail belongs to

Team Favorites

Favorites in YouThumb AI are shared at the organization (team) level:
When you favorite a thumbnail, all members of your organization can see it in the shared Favorites page. This is great for team collaboration!

Collaboration Benefits

  • Curated selections: Create a "approved thumbnails" collection for your team
  • Client review: Mark thumbnails for client approval
  • Best practices: Save examples of successful thumbnails for team reference
  • Quick sharing: Point team members to favorites instead of hunting through generations

Best Practices

When to Favorite

Consider favoriting thumbnails when:
  • The generation turned out exactly as intended
  • You plan to use the thumbnail soon
  • It's a good example for future reference
  • You want team members to see it
  • It's a candidate for A/B testing

Workflow Integration

Integrate favorites into your thumbnail creation workflow:
Generate → Review → Favorite the best ones → Continue iterating
                          ↓
                  Later: Visit Favorites
                          ↓
Download or edit for final use

Keep It Curated

Don't favorite everything! The value of favorites comes from being selective. If everything is a favorite, nothing is.
Regularly review your favorites and remove:
  • Outdated thumbnails you no longer need
  • Drafts that have been superseded by better versions
  • Thumbnails you've already downloaded and used
