Adjust the lighting

Add Light helps you explore a different light treatment around the subject of a source image.

How to use it

1

Select the image and action

Select the image to work on, then open Options and choose Add Light.
2

Choose a lighting direction

Choose a lighting preset, or Custom for more control.
3

Adjust custom sources

For custom position lighting, set each source’s direction, height and color. Add or remove sources as needed.
4

Generate and compare

Generate and compare the new image with your earlier result.

What happens

Lighting instructions are applied in a new generation. Custom position lighting supports up to four light sources, with direction around the subject and high, eye-level or low placement.

Example

Goal: separate a face from a dark background using custom position lighting.
Light sourceDirection and color
Source 1Behind the subject, cool color
Source 2Front-side, warm color
Compare the new result with the original. Check whether the face stands out without losing detail.

Good to know

Presets include Studio Pro, Neon Gamer, Cinematic and Golden Hour. Custom also offers light types such as rim light and backlight.
Start with a simple setup. Multiple conflicting sources can flatten the scene. AI relighting may affect other details, so inspect the whole result.
