Your first thumbnail

Create your first thumbnail with Free, then download the result. This walkthrough uses a coding tutorial as an example.
Before you start: open a thumbnail project in your team workspace. If you want your face in the image, have a person profile ready to select. Check the displayed credit cost before generating: Free is a style name, not a zero-credit generation.

Create your first result

1

Choose your starting point

Keep the action on Default. Click Source thumbnail and select the Free preset. This lets your prompt describe a new composition.
2

Choose who appears

Select your person profile if the thumbnail should feature you. For the tutorial example, choose the presenter whose face should appear on the right.
3

Describe the image

Paste this into Prompt:
My face on the right, a laptop on the left, dark blue background, and a clear empty area above the laptop for a short title.
Then open Options and enter BUILD IT in the thumbnail title field. The prompt describes the scene; the title field supplies the words to put in the image.
4

Generate one variation

Choose 1 in the variation selector, review the displayed credit cost and click Generate. A new run appears below the composer with the request and its result.
5

Check and download

Wait for the result to finish, then open the image. For this example, check that the face is recognizable, the laptop is clear and BUILD IT is spelled correctly. Use Download when you have a result you want to keep.
Your first run is saved. It keeps the generation request and its results in the project history. Generating another run does not remove this one.
